Who is Oxford PV?

Oxford PV is the pioneer and technology leader in the field of perovskite solar cells. The company was established in 2010, as a spin-out from the University of Oxford. It focuses exclusively on developing and commercialising a perovskite-based solar technology.

What is this?

This policy describes how we collect, use and process your personal data, and how in doing so, we comply with our legal obligation to you. When you deal with Oxford PV you trust us with your information. We take privacy seriously and we are committed to protecting the data that you have given us. You give us information about yourself when you make any enquiry or engage with us. This policy may change from time to time, so please ensure that you periodically check this page to ensure you are still happy with any changes.

Information we receive from other sources

We could receive information about you from various third parties. For example, from recruitment companies as part of the recruitment process or employers may provide references about you.

If your application for employment is successful, the information you provided during the application process will be retained by us as part of your employee file for the duration of your employment, plus a further 6 +1 years following the end of your employment. We may contact previous or present employers, asking them to provide a reference. If you are unsuccessful at any stage of the process, the information will be retained for one year following the closure of the recruitment drive.

Information obtained from third parties

All categories of information we hold on an employee is detailed within our human resources procedures. All information that we hold regarding employees is available to the employees via the human resources portal.

Information you voluntarily provide to us:

  • We collect and maintain information that you voluntarily submit to us during your use of our website. For example:
  • If you sign up to receive a newsletter, you may provide us with contact information (e.g., e-mail, telephone, company name and/or physical address)
  • You may provide us with information in the course of email.
  • We may obtain your data if you are considering to invest in us. When you contact us with an interest in investing with us, you supply us with your contact details. At any time after you have provided your details in relation to investing, our finance or executive team will contact you.

All information you provide to us for our use is stored on our secure servers which are located within the UK and the European Economic Area.

If we hold your personal information, the length of time we retain it is determined by a number of factors, including the purpose for which we use that information and our obligations under other relevant laws. Provided we do not have any lawful reason to continue processing or holding your personal information, we will make reasonable efforts to comply with you request. Where we rely on your consent as the legal basis for processing your personal information or need to process it in contract as set out under how we use your personal information. You may ask us to provide you with a copy of that information in a structured data file. This would be supplied to you via a liquid file transfer (secure file transfer via email). We may not provide you with a copy of your personal information if this concerns other individuals or we have another lawful reason to withhold that information.
